Over the years, I’ve noticed that most sales trainers teach techniques that date back to the turn of the century. And no, I don’t mean the end of the 20th century, I mean the end of the 19th century. It might sound crazy, but most sales training techniques really did originate in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Today, most sales techniques out there are just some regurgitation of those same old-school ideas. It’s not surprising that these techniques simply don’t work anymore.
